What is Indian Forest Service (IFS) Exams?

The Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination is a competitive exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit officers into the Indian Forest Service, a specialized branch of the Indian Administrative Service.

The selection process for the IFS Examination involves three stages. The first stage is the Preliminary Examination, which serves as a screening test. If you qualify for the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear for the Main Examination.

The Main Examination is a written examination and is followed by a personality test in the form of an interview.

The final selection is based on your performance in the Main Examination and the interview. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not counted for the final selection.
